SCOPE
is a program developed by Code Enforcement in an effort to strengthen community
pride and encourage neighborhood preservation. This volunteer based team is made
up of high school students, non-profit organizations, church youth groups and
any residents willing to lend a hand. The SCOPE team's goal is to encourage and
actively promote in the beautification of Soledad-making the city a great place
to live, work and play. SCOPE identifies areas of the community that may need some attention and initiates a plan to improve the area. Such activities include litter removal, weed abatement, graffiti paint outs and providing assistance to elderly or low income residents in maintaining their properties.
