Soledad Animal Control can be contacted through our office at (831) 223-5130 or calling 755-5111 after business hours.
The Soledad Animal Control Officer picks up dogs running at large, stray dogs with no owners and stray cats.. If no owner is located for the animals they are then taken to the SPCA of Monterey County located on Highway 68 and are held for a maximum of 5 days. If you are missing your dog or cat or you have captured one, please call the Soledad Police Department, or police communications at 755-5111.
Animal Control also responds to nuisance calls regarding animals.. If you have questions about Soledad Animal Control please contact the Soledad Police Department and leave a message for the Animal Control Officer. The Animal Control Officer's hours vary throughout the month to accomodate everyone in the community.
The City of Soledad requires that all dogs over the age of 4 months be vaccinated and licensed. A city dog license can be purchased at Soledad City Hall. You must show proof of vaccination when purchasing your dog's license.
