PUBLIC NOTICE PLANNING COMMISSIONER NEEDED

THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED

 

The City Council of the City of Soledad is accepting applications to serve on the Planning Commission to fill an appointment for a four-year term that will expire on December 7, 2026.

Appointments are anticipated to be made by the City Council at its regular meeting of December 7, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.

The Planning Commission functions in accordance with Section 65100 of the State Government Code and Chapter 2.12 of the Soledad Municipal Code. Specifically, the Commission acts upon land use approvals, subdivisions, and environmental documents. It also makes recommendations to the City Council on revisions to the General Plan, Ordinances, and special documents.

Regular Planning Commission meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Additionally, special, and joint meetings are occasionally held with the City Council and other policy-making bodies.

Candidates may obtain applications at Soledad Gateway Center, 502 Front Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

 

The City of Soledad will hold an informational session via Zoom on January 5, 2023, 6:00-7:00 p.m.
