SUMMARY:Grief Training for Community Members
DESCRIPTION:Through the community-wide initiative Heal Together\, Coastal Kids Home Care is coordinating a training for mental health providers and other community members who regularly come in contact with people who are grieving. \nThe objective of the one-day Dougy Center training is to introduce individuals who encounter grief in their personal and professional lives to the language of grief. Facilitators will discuss professional and personal responses to loss\, grieving styles and group facilitation. There will be education regarding serving bereaved of all ages\, with a special emphasis on the challenges of serving kids and teens. Dougy Center facilitators will be available for specific questions regarding grief.
