PLANNING COMMISSIONER NEEDED

The City Council of the City of Soledad is accepting applications to serve on the Planning Commission to fill an appointment for a four-year term. Appointments are anticipated to be made by the City Council at a yet to be determined Regular City Council Meeting.

The Planning Commission functions in accordance with Section 65100 of the State Government Code and Chapter 2.12 of the Soledad Municipal Code. Specifically, the Commission acts upon land use approvals, subdivisions, and environmental documents. It also makes recommendations to the City Council on revisions to the General Plan, Ordinances, and special documents.

Regular Planning Commission meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Additionally, special and joint meetings are occasionally held with the City Council and other policy-making bodies.
