The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for the enforcement of certain health and safety regulations as well as the ongoing maintenance and consistent use of property throughout the City through the education and enforcement of maintenance codes, inoperative vehicle abatement, and zoning codes which regulate land use, signs, and development standards. Code Enforcement also assists Animal Control, Fire, Police, Building, and planning departments in the interpretation and enforcement of Soledad municipal codes.
The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the city’s infrastructure, including streets and sidewalks, public parks, right-of-way landscaping, community facilities, traffic signals, streetlights, the storm drain system. We regularly patrol our city to look for maintenance items, but we also rely on citizens to tell us when there is a problem. If you see something that is broken or could use improvements, please submit a ticket to let us know.
The City of Soledad is now utilizing a new Citizen’s Request Portal for our residents to contact us for any of the issues above.
You can use the web portal below or download our new It’s Happening in Soledad app on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
If you want a completely anonymous way to report a crime or give tips to assist the police department, you can do so by using a service called WeTip. The information collected will come to us and will never reveal any personally identifiable information.
Our website is maintained internally by our IT Department. If you have an issue with the site or suggestions to make the site better, please use the following form to notify our staff. We will address the problem or make the changes needed if appropriate.
