Here at the Soledad Parks & Recreation department, we believe that recreation, culture & art, parks, and sports activities all play an important role in every community. Recreation opportunities and outdoor spaces are essential for strengthening and maintaining a vibrant community. Our goal is focused on inclusivity while fostering a culture of health and well-being, which contributes to individual identity, community growth, and promotion of a healthy and successful community.

Highlights

We always have something fun and exciting happening at the Soledad community center. 

Our most recent highlight is senior travel club! Participants enjoyed walking through the many sea life exhibits of the amazing Monterey Bay Aquarium; from jellyfish to sea otters, there was something to see at every corner. Our group also enjoyed a sunny stroll by San Carlos Beach in Monterey and finished the day with a lunch with a beach view. We had a great time with our group and look forward to more trips to other beautiful areas of Monterey County. We want to give a big thanks to the Wahine Project, our new amazing partner who helped make this trip possible for our senior group.
