APPLICATION FOR NEW BUSINESS LICENSE
Welcome to Soledad!
Thank you for your interest in doing business in the City of Soledad. Please note all business licenses expire annually at the end of our fiscal year, June 30th. Business license tax is not refundable or transferable.
Annual renewal notices are sent out May-June to all business licensees. It is the responsibility of the business owner to renew the business license by the due date. Penalties are assessed for delinquent accounts, regardless of whether your renewal notice was received.

This document contains a detailed list of requirements necessary to obtain a business license.
Send the completed application and any additional documents to businesslicense@cityofsoledad.gov OR come into City Hall to deliver in person. If submitting electronically, Finance Department staff will contact you via email or phone to complete the process. Please note it can take 7-10 business days for your application to be processed.
No business licenses are issued over the counter on the same day.

BUSINESS LICENSE RENEWAL
Announcement: Our business license renewal process has changed.
If you are renewing a business license for fiscal year 2024-25, please download and complete the following form.
Any permits applicable to your business that have expired (i.e. seller’s permit, health permit, contractor’s license, etc.) must be renewed and submitted with your business renewal application.
Once completed, please submit documentation to businesslicense@cityofsoledad.gov OR come into City Hall to deliver in person.

CHANGING OR CLOSING A SOLEDAD BUSINESS
There is a section in the Business License Renewal Form to use if you are intending to change ownership or close out a business in Soledad.
Once completed, please submit documentation to businesslicense@cityofsoledad.gov OR come into City Hall to deliver in person.
