We utilize Monterey County’s Citizens Alert program to send out notifications about critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.

We encourage all of our citizens to sign up for this service as during emergency events these text messages will contain the latest important information before we post to Facebook or our website. You can get a phone call, text message or email when there is alert information.
