AB 481 MILITARY EQUIPMENT ANNUAL REPORT 2024-2025

Pursuant to the provisions of AB 481, the City of Soledad adopted Ordinance 743 “Approving
Soledad Police Department Policy Manual Policy 706- Military Equipment” on June 15, 2022.
Policy 706 identifies all military equipment possessed and subject to use by the Soledad Police
Department and provides details on related training and costs. In accordance with Government
Code Section 7072, the Soledad Police Department is required to submit an annual military
equipment report concerning all equipment identified in its Military Equipment Policy (and any
amendments thereto) to the City Council and make the Annual Report available for public
review by posting on the City’s website. The Department submitted its 2024-2025 Annual
Report and the same was accepted by the City Council on May 21, 2025, and a copy of the

The City is also required to conduct an engagement meeting with the public to discuss and
respond to questions concerning the Annual Report and the Department’s findings on the
possession, acquisition or use of military equipment.

THE PUBLIC IS HEREBY NOTICED THAT THE SOLEDAD POLICE DEPARTMENT
WILL CONDUCT ITS PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT MEETING DURING THE COURSE
OF A REGULAR SOLEDAD CITY COUNCIL MEETING. THE ORIGINAL HEARING
DATE, JULY 2, 2025, AT 6:00, CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 248 MAIN STREET,
SOLEDAD, CA 93960, HAS NOW BEEN CONTINUED TO AUGUST 6, 2025 AT THE
SAME TIME AND LOCATION.
