NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN AND
2025 WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6 pm, the City Council of the City of Soledad will hold Public Hearings pursuant to California Water Code §10642 and §10608.26 to review, receive comments, discuss, and consider for adoption the City’s 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (2025 UWMP) and, separately, the City’s 2025 Water Shortage Contingency Plan (2025 WSCP). The Public Hearings will be held in the City of Soledad Council Chambers located at 248 Main St, Soledad, CA 93960.
The 2025 UWMP and 2025 WSCP were prepared in accordance with the Urban Water Management Planning Act and the California Water Code §10610-§10657. The California Department of Water Resources requires every urban water supplier to prepare and adopt an UWMP, including the WSCP, and periodically update the UWMP at least once every five years, in years ending in six and one. Copies of the Public Review Draft 2025 UWMP and the Public Review Draft 2025 WSCP are available for public review on the City’s website at https://www.cityofsoledad.com/2025-uwmp-wscp/. Printed copies of each are also available for review at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall located at 248 Main St, Soledad, CA 93960, during regular business hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday – Friday.
All interested parties are invited to attend said hearings in order to express their views on these matters. Persons who are unable to attend may direct their written comments prior to the Public Hearing to the City Clerk’s Office, City of Soledad, PO Box 156, Soledad, CA 93960, or emailed to Darlene Noriega at dnoriega@cityofsoledad.gov by 2:00 pm the day of the meeting. Questions regarding the Public Review Draft 2025 UWMP and the Public Review Draft 2025 WSCP should be directed to the Public Works Department by calling 831-223-5012 or by email to cjames@cityofsoledad.gov.
If you challenge these actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearings described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Clerk prior to the public hearings.
